Increased Precautions We're Taking in Response to COVID-19
As updates on the impact of the coronavirus continue to be released, we want to take a moment to inform you of the heightened preventative measures we have put in place at Southeastern Massachusetts Comprehensive Treatment Centers to keep our patients, their families, and our employees safe. All efforts are guided by and in adherence to the recommendations distributed by the CDC.

In adherence to the social distancing recommendations provided by the CDC, we have implemented strict protocols at our clinic to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

  • Patients who have active symptoms of illness or a fever of 100 degrees or higher must call ahead to arrange after-hours dosing.
  • The number of people allowed inside the building at any given time is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines.
  • The number of people waiting in line is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines, and those present must maintain a minimum distance of six feet from one another.
  • To maintain line restrictions, patients are asked to wait in their cars until direction is given.

For specific information regarding these changes and limitations, please contact us directly.

Please note that for the safety of our patients, their families, and our staff, on-site visitation is no longer allowed at Southeastern Massachusetts Comprehensive Treatment Centers.

  • This restriction has been implemented in compliance with updated corporate and state regulations to further reduce the risks associated with COVID-19.
  • Alternate methods of communication for other services are being vetted and may be offered when deemed clinically appropriate.

For specific information regarding these changes and limitations, please contact us directly.

CDC updates are consistently monitored to ensure that all guidance followed is based on the latest information released.

  • All staff has received infection prevention and control training.
  • Thorough disinfection and hygiene guidance has been provided.
  • Patient care supplies such as masks and hand sanitizer are being monitored and utilized.
  • Temperature and symptom screening protocols are in place for all patients and staff.
  • Cleaning service contracts have been reviewed for additional support.
  • Personal protective equipment items are routinely checked to ensure proper and secure storage.
  • CDC informational posters are on display to provide important reminders on proper infection prevention procedures.
  • We are in communication with our local health department to receive important community-specific updates.

The safety of our patients, their families, and our employees is our top priority, and we will remain steadfast in our efforts to reduce any risk associated with COVID-19.

The CDC has provided a list of easy tips that can help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and then immediately dispose of the tissue.

Learn About Us

Fall River Comprehensive Treatment Center provides individuals with the opportunity to safely regain control of lives that have been consumed by opioid addiction. Our outpatient treatment is specialized for men and women, aged 18 and older, who are struggling with an addiction to opioids. By combining therapeutic interventions with medication-assisted treatment, patients are able to safely recover from their addictions.

Working alongside our highly qualified team of physicians, nurses, and counselors, patients are able to develop a plan of treatment that meets their individual needs and goals. Our medical experts understand the struggles and difficulties that are associated with an addiction to heroin, morphine, and prescription painkillers and tailor treatment around the needs of each individual patient. Under the close supervision of our medical staff, patients are prescribed the following prescription medications in order to safely and effectively eliminate the uncomfortable physical symptoms of withdrawal:

  • Methadone
  • Subutex
  • Suboxone

The medications that are prescribed, as well as the individual dosages that are given, will be determined by our physicians based on the needs of each individual patient. Changes to medications throughout the course of treatment will be approved by our medical staff to ensure the safety of our patients.

Our Treatment Therapies

On top of the medications that we prescribe in order to treat the physical discomforts of addiction, Fall River Comprehensive Treatment Center also provides patients with the opportunity to take part in treatment for the psychological aspects of their addictions as well.
